چکیده

Five phytoseiid mite species: Phytoseiulus persimilis Athias-Henriot, Neoseiulus californicus(McGregor), womersleyi(Schicha), Amblyseius eharai Amitai and Swirski, Euseius sojaensis(Ehara)(Acari: Phytoseiidae)were collected from commercial Japanese pear orchards in Shizuoka Prefecture. To evaluate the suppressive effect of generalist species on spider Tetranychus kanzawai Kishida(Acari: Tetranychidae), we compared four treatments(E. sojaensis release, A. synthetic pyrethroid application, no-release)performed a greenhouse. These treatments were conducted when T. densities low, pine pollen was provided as alternative food for predatory mites all treatments. At late June, peak significantly low E. release no-release with application release. The dominant no sojaensis. After July, however, became lower well no-release, thus higher at early August. results suggest that conservation augmentative prior to population increase, might suppress outbreak this until summer.

Comparative Transcriptome Analysis of the Less-Dormant Taiwanese Pear and the Dormant Japanese Pear during Winter Season

The flower bud transcriptome in the less dormant Taiwanese pear 'Hengshanli' and high-chilling requiring Japanese pear strain TH3 subjected to the same chilling exposure time were analyzed during winter using next-generation sequencing. In buds sampled on January 10th and on February 7th in 2014, 6,978 and 7,096 genes, respectively, were significantly differentially expressed in the TH3 and 'He...

Effect of Salicylic Acid on Pear Leaf Induced Resistance to Pear Ring Rot

To reveal the mechanism of resistance of pear against ring rot induced by SA, the influence of SA treatment on disease severity and plant defense enzymes were studied with Pyrus bretschneideri cv. Yali and Physalospora piricola Nose as the materials. It is interesting to note that the resistance of pear to P. piricola could be greatly increased by the treatment of 0.2 mM SA. In the present stud...

Pear distillates from pear juice concentrate: effect of lees in the aromatic composition.

Pear juice obtained from pear concentrate was fermented at room temperature using Saccharomyces cerevisiae (BDX, ENOFERM, France) as the fermentation microorganism. During the fermentation process, total sugars were measured. High performance liquid chromatography analyses were used to monitor the fermentation process and to characterize the pear wine. The pear wine obtained was distilled with ...
